What is a SIP Calculator?
A SIP Calculator helps estimate the potential future value of regular monthly investments made through a Systematic Investment Plan. It uses the monthly investment amount, expected rate of return and investment duration to calculate an estimated maturity value.
How is SIP Return Calculated?
P = Monthly SIP investment
i = Monthly rate of return
n = Total number of monthly investments
FV = Estimated future value
SIP Example
Total amount invested = ₹6,00,000
The calculator estimates the future value using monthly compounding and shows the estimated investment returns separately.
Why Can SIP Investing Be Useful?
A SIP allows investors to contribute a fixed amount regularly instead of investing a large amount at one time. Long investment periods may also allow returns to compound over time. Actual mutual fund returns, however, are market-linked and are not guaranteed.
