See how your percentage changes if you attend or miss additional future classes.
What is an Attendance Calculator?
An attendance calculator helps students determine their current attendance percentage from the total number of classes conducted and the number of classes attended. It can also estimate how many future classes must be attended to reach a required attendance percentage.
Attendance Percentage Formula
(Classes Attended ÷ Total Classes Held) × 100
Attendance Calculation Example
Total classes held = 100
Classes attended = 80
Attendance:
(80 ÷ 100) × 100
= 80%
How Many Classes Do I Need to Attend?
If your current attendance is below the required percentage, the calculator assumes you attend every upcoming class and finds the minimum number of consecutive classes needed to reach the target.
A = Classes already attended
T = Total classes already held
R = Target attendance as a decimal
x = Future classes attended
(A + x) ÷ (T + x) ≥ R
How Many Classes Can I Miss?
If your attendance is already above the target, the calculator estimates the maximum number of consecutive future classes you could miss before your attendance would fall below the selected target.
What-If Attendance Planning
The What-If section lets you test future situations. For example, you can see what your attendance would become after attending the next five classes or after missing the next two classes.
Important: This calculator provides mathematical estimates only. Attendance requirements, rounding methods, condonation rules, practical/lab attendance and subject-wise requirements vary between schools, colleges and universities. Use your institution’s official attendance record and rules for academic decisions.
