What is an Exam Countdown?
An Exam Countdown calculates the time remaining before an upcoming examination. It displays the remaining days, hours, minutes and seconds and can help students visualize how much preparation time is still available.
How the Exam Countdown Works
The remaining duration is converted into days, hours, minutes and seconds and updated every second.
Estimated Study Days
The tool also estimates the number of study days available from the study-days-per-week value you enter. For example, selecting six study days per week means the estimate assumes approximately six of every seven remaining days are available for planned study.
Potential Study Hours
This is a planning estimate rather than a requirement. Actual study time may vary because of school, work, holidays, health, revision needs and other responsibilities.
How to Use the Countdown
Enter the name of your examination, choose the exam date and time, enter your normal weekly study schedule and click Start Countdown. The timer will then update every second while the page remains open.
