Characteristics of computer commonly known as speed accuracy and reliability storage, capacity ability to operate automatically, diligence and versatility.

  1. Speed:

The speed of processing of computers are hour in milliseconds, microseconds, nanoseconds picoseconds, KIPS, MIPS. Computers provide quick services according to their speeds as expected in banks, grocery, stores, stock exchange etc.

TIME UNITS TO MEASURE SPEED OF COMPUTER
  MILLISECOND [1ms]  A THOUSAND OF A SECOND
MICRO SECOND [1ms]  A THOUSAND MILLIONTH OF A SECOND
NANO SECOND [1ns]  A THOUSANDTH MILLIONTH OF A SECOND
PICO SECOND [1ps]  A THOUSAND OF A SECOND
  KIPS  KILO INSTRUCTION PER SECOND
  MIPS  MILLION INSTRUCTION PER SECOND
  • Accuracy and reliability:

As we all know computers are quite accurate and extremely reliable. but they are the only machines that do not makes error by their own. Errors are made by humans while inputting the data into computer.

  • Storage capacity:
